Finance Assistant - Part Time - 22.5 hours

I am working exclusively with a growing business with offices based in the Elland area of Halifax as they continue to grow they are looking to expand their finance team and have an exciting opportunity for a Bookkeeper/Finance Assistant to come and join them on that journey.

The position on offer is Part time up to 22.5 hours a week (can be lower if needed), exact days, times and location (Leeds/Halifax/Remote) is very flexible and will be candidate specific to suit a wide range of needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Daily bank reconciliations including credit card accounts.
• Input and manage the purchase ledger and sales ledger.
• Support the Finance Manager with production of the weekly and monthly reports and financial accounts.
• Input into month end processes including posting of any journals required.
• To assist with year-end close and final statutory accounts as required.
• Any other ad hoc work when required.

Person Specification:

• Experience of working within a finance department previously.
• AAT studier or equivalent via experience.
• Strong numeracy and attention to detail, high accuracy on data input.
• Experience with financial software, particularly Xero would be advantageous.
• Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
