Electrical Maintenance Technician

SHIFT MAINTENENANCE TECHNICIAN

NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE

SALARY - 53,500K ANNUM INCLUDING SHIFT

CONTINENTAL SHIFT PATTERN (4 ON 4 OFF)

Zenith People are working with our client who operate within Fast Moving Manufacturing and are looking to recruit an experienced Shift Maintenance Technician to join their team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will be time-served and have previous experience of working in a fully automated production environment responding to electrical and mechanical breakdowns.

Communicate with the engineering team and participate in an open and honest culture, discuss any mistakes and work together to resolve them. If any issues arise, discuss them with your management and work together to find a solution.

Responsibilities:

1. React quickly to breakdowns on site
2. Resolve any technical issues with plant machinery
3. Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance
4. Comply with quality standards and Health and Safety regulations
5. Fault find on various types of machinery, including PLC's
6. Work under minimal supervision
7. Prioritise work load to ensure the smooth running of the production line.

Person specification:

1. Must be time served
2. Experience of working within the food industry is desirable
3. Excellent fault finding and problem solving skills are essential
4. Good communication and team playing skills are necessary
5. Must be able to work alone as well as within a team.
