Role
Working within the Contract Development Team in SPD Licence Programmes to support the development of replacement and new framework contracts. Ideally the candidate will have knowledge of Framework Contracts, Procurement processes, Legal Forms of Contract and working knowledge of SPEN SAP system, SPEN Operations and our ED2 business plan. Quantity Surveyor type background would be of benefit and the ability to scrutinise tender returns/ BOQs to identify anomalies against the contract.
The team work across all of the many Service framework contracts in SPEN with an overall portfolio value in the region of £900m. The role is dynamic with issues arising on a daily basis and expected interaction with Procurement, Contractors and all areas of the business, including operational staff, project managers and senior management. Subject matter is varied with contracts predominantly focused on Services / Engineering and Construction though not exclusively. Understanding of SPEN typical activities on the Network and associated assets would also be of benefit.
