Our client is currently seeking a skilled Building Control Team Leader to join their team on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing the building control team with a focus on regulatory compliance
- Ensuring all building control activities comply with the Building Safety Regulator (BSR) requirements, particularly BSR 2F (4)
- Providing expert advice on building control matters
- Maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and performance within the team
- Overseeing inspections, assessments, and approvals to ensure compliance with building regulations
- Collaborating with other departments and stakeholders to achieve project objectives
- Preparing reports and documentation as required
- Attending site three to four days a week to ensure on-site activities are effectively managed
Job Requirements:
- Extensive experience in building control
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- In-depth understanding of BSR 2F and related regulations
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to make well-informed decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organisational and documentation skills
- Capability to work three to four days a week on-site
