Vacancy Introduction
Working hours are 30 hours per week.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our rehabilitation service at Wharfedale Recovery Hub, Otley. We are a Community Rehabilitation Unit within Leeds Community Health NHS Trust and work closely with Adult Social Care and external agencies to facilitate discharge and ongoing therapy in the community.
If you have a varied clinical background and are invested in developing clinical and leadership skills, we can support this, and the community is a perfect setting to enhance the transferable skills you have and develop your skill sets.
You will assess, manage & provide treatment to individuals with complex and/or multiple needs, working closely with the MDT providing supervision and support to other staff.
Applications would be welcomed from physiotherapists with relevant post graduate experience who are flexible, innovative and passionate about rehabilitation and have a positive approach to team working.
Experience across core areas in older peoples medicine, orthopaedics, neuro sciences, vascular, rehabilitation and discharge management is essential.
You will work closely with an experienced Band 7 Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist. You will work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team to enhance your knowledge, supported by clinical supervision, peer support and regular CPD. You will develop leadership skills supporting others including therapy assistants and students and contribute to service improvement project.
There will be opportunities to be involved in service development.
At present this service operates 5 days per week Monday to Friday but, if required it may move to a 7 day provision in the future.
